With this, their third album, the trio shares with music lovers their a cappella renditions of some of the best loved Ukrainian carols, including a seldom-heard arrangement of Boh Predvichny. Often described as a "natural blend," the harmonies of these three voices can be truly appreciated in their purest form on this album, which is the culmination of ten years of public performance for Voloshky.

The album was produced in conjunction with CBC/Radio Canada, Regina, who sponsored the recording session. The association with CBC/Radio Canada began in 1998, when Voloshky were invited to represent Ukrainian culture at Waiting For The Star, a live multicultural Christmas benefit concert for the Children's Wish Foundation. The concert was recorded and subsequently broadcast nationall on both English and French CBC Radio networks. The invitation was repeated for the 1999 concert, allowing the trio to prepare more Christmas music for the performance.

Bonnie Austring-Warner, Performance Producer for CBC, says "It was a pleasure for us to work with Voloshky. They were definitely one of the highlights of the two concerts. The beauty of the songs and their exquisite harmonies definitely captivated the audience. In fact, my observation was that people were mesmerised. It was our opinion that this music should be made available to a wider audience!"

CBC took the initiative and produced the album, resulting in the April 2000 recording session at CBC Studios, with recording engineer Chris Haynes.

A live public performance, A Celebration of Christmas, was held to launch the ablum on December 17th, 2000.
